Circa 1972 Longines Admiral 5 Star Gents Wrist Watch, 34 M.M. 14k Yellow Gold 2 piece case with 17 Jewel Automatic, Self winding movement. Original Silver Satin dial with raised Gold markers, Sweep seconds hand and a Calendar window at the 3 position. This watch was an Award Presentation given to Ralph E. Goranson who was a highly decorated WW II Captain who led the Charlie Company Rangers from Omaha Beach at Normandy and into France, it was Goranson's actions that were the inspiration for the Movie "Saving Private Ryan" in which Tom Hanks as Captain Miller portrayed Goranson. This watch came directly to us form Ralph Goranson.
A couple small dings in the case and the very tip of the raised Gold marker at the 5 is missing
